Applications are accepted from January through August for summer positions. On your application form, you’ll be asked to choose two jobs of interest. Please read the duties, responsibilities and qualifications required before you apply.

Business Office
General Responsibilities:
The Business Office Clerk works as part of a team to ensure accurate processing of daily revenue. This position is responsible for various cash handling procedures throughout the park including: the proper recording of all financial transactions, counting and recording of all revenue as well as coupons, vouchers, and credit/debit card transactions, etc. The Business Office Clerk also assists in preparing and delivering change orders, floats, and other financial related documents, etc., to various departments throughout the park.
Events and Entertainment
General Responsibilities:
The Events Production Assistant works as part of a team to provide production support for all entertainment programs and special events. Main responsibilities include set-up, strike and operation of all events and the daily operation of all entertainment programs, including the use of technical equipment (i.e. audio and lighting consoles).
General Operations
General Responsibilities:
Admissions Attendants are assigned to one of several high-volume work areas. Duties may include processing admission and parking ticket sales, scanning and taking tickets, and monitoring access to areas. Attendants will be interacting with Ontario Place guests on a constant basis, explaining pricing, enforcing rules, and responding to their inquiries.
General Responsibilities:
Attractions Attendants engage Ontario Place guests and provide them with a fun, safe and problem-free experience. Working at one or more of our exciting attractions, attendants are located throughout the park including the Cinesphere and the Soak City water park.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision. Some areas require that applicants are at least 18 years of age.
General Responsibilities:
Cinesphere Attendants work in the Cinesphere IMAX theatre. Duties may include taking tickets, checking Play All Day passes, and assisting guests at the Cinesphere by responding to their inquiries and concerns. They are also responsible for the efficient and accurate preparation and sale of food items at the Cinesphere snack bar.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have previous customer service experience and a friendly, helpful manner. Computer skills and previous cash handling experience are required for this position. Applicants must be detail-oriented and have strong multi-tasking and organizational skills. Good physical stamina is required to stand for long periods of time. In addition, applicants must be personable and enjoy speaking in front of large groups.
General Responsibilities:
Working outdoors, the Lifeguard is responsible for water safety at Ontario Place’s waterslides and water play children's area. Duties include performing basic pool maintenance and monitoring traffic flow into and out of the water park.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have previous customer service experience, and at least a current Bronze Cross Certification and the Canadian Heart and Stroke CPR (Level C) Certification (or equivalent).
*Please note that individuals selected for the Lifeguard positions will be required to successfully complete an in-house lifeguard and water safety-training program.
General Responsibilities:
Working in an office atmosphere, this position is responsible for communications and administration within multiple departments. Duties include answering telephones or in-person inquiries from staff, radio dispatching, filing, data entry and generating reports.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have good customer service skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, and proven multi-tasking capabilities. Previous administrative experience coupled with organizational and computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Access and Excel are also required.
Group Sales
General Responsibilities:
The Summer Sales Crew team is responsible for ensuring group sales clients have a fantastic Ontario Place experience - from the initial call for information until they leave the park. Working both indoors and outdoors, specific duties include: responding to inquiries, booking groups, maintaining client databases and files, printing and distributing tickets and information packages, welcoming and entertaining clients upon arrival and at in-park functions, maintaining picnic area cleanliness, refereeing volleyball and basketball activities and ensuring that clients are having a great time!
Guest Services
General Responsibilities:
Working on the front line in all guest services locations, this position is responsible for providing guests with information and assistance about Ontario Place programs, events, operating times, prices, etc. Responsibilities include: processing Play-All-Summer Passes and other tickets, providing exceptional guest service, successfully resolving guest issues with a focus on guest recovery. This position includes general clerical and office duties such as answering incoming phone calls, recording information and writing reports, data entry, and filing.
Loss Prevention
General Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for staffing the Control Centre at Ontario Place. This position coordinates responses to all emergency situations on site (similar to 911 operators) in addition to dispatching staff from the Medical Response Team and Security. Other responsibilities include: maintaining logs, issuing equipment to staff and answering all inbound phone calls.
General Responsibilities:
Student Security Officers work as part of the security team to ensure the safety of the park, its guests and staff. General responsibilities include: interacting with guests to provide direction, clarifying information relating to site operations, traffic management, crowd control and assisting to diffuse situations.
Maintenance & Skilled Trades
(TSSA Amusement Devices Mechanic Trainee)
General Responsibilities:
The Attractions Mechanic’s Assistant works alongside our full time Attractions/Ride Devices Mechanic to ensure the safe operation of: F/X Theatre, Atom Blaster, Cinesphere and Weather Maze. This position is responsible for detailed preventative maintenance, daily inspection of assigned attractions and rides, assisting the full-time Attractions/Ride Devices Mechanic with any repairs and maintaining the cleanliness of the attraction and ride equipment, including working with 70mm film and electronic film projectors within the Cinesphere.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have excellent customer service and communication skills to respond to the changing needs of our customers and requests from other departments. Candidates must have knowledge of installation, set up and the minor maintenance and repair of electronics and related devices. Previous experience working with hand tools is required. Individuals must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. A valid G2 class driver’s license is required for this position.
General Responsibilities:
Site Crew Members are responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the park to ensure Ontario Place provides a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. This position is responsible for: garbage removal services within the park (i.e. bag pulling, litter sweeping); assistance with the setting up, monitoring and clean-up of events; assistance with wash downs and other special cleaning tasks (i.e. bin washouts). The duties also include providing assistance to the Landscape Crew and other site service groups when needed. This position will involve working in, or around water.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have excellent customer service and communication skills to respond to the changing needs of our customers and requests from other departments. Candidates must have good physical stamina to stand for long periods of time, work in all weather conditions and perform physical labour (i.e. lifting, pushing, pulling 20-60 lbs.). Individuals must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
(TSSA Amusement Devices Mechanic Trainee)
General Responsibilities:
Mechanic’s Assistants are responsible for assisting the full-time licensed Marine Mechanic with daily preventative maintenance of all equipment including the repair of outboard motors, small gas powered engines such as: Bumper Boats, Cyclone, Power Wheels and O.P. Driving School. This position involves working in, or around water.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have a mechanical and/or electrical background and the ability to use hand, electrical and air tools. Individuals must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. A valid G2 class driver’s license is required for this position.
*Please note candidates considered for this position must successfully complete the Toronto Harbour’s license training and obtain the license. This training is provided during departmental orientation in the pre-season.
(TSSA Amusement Devices Mechanic Trainee)
General Responsibilities:
The Wilderness Adventure Ride (W.A.R.) Mechanic’s Assistant works alongside our full time W.A.R. Mechanic to ensure the safe operation of: the Wilderness Adventure Ride, Free Fall, First Flight, and H2O Generation Station rides and attractions. This position is responsible for detailed preventative maintenance, daily inspection of all lifts, boat conveyors, cables, gondolas, hydraulic systems, gear reducers, and ride safety inspection including all loading and unloading areas and animation. This position will involve working in, or around water.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have excellent customer service and communication skills to respond to the changing needs of our clients and requests from other departments. Applicants must have a mechanical and/or electrical background and knowledge of and the ability to use hand tools. Individuals must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. A valid G2 class driver’s license is required for this position.
(T.S.S.A. Waterslide Mechanic Trainee)
General Responsibilities:
The Water Park Mechanic’s Assistant works alongside our full time Water Park Mechanic to ensure the safe operation of: the water park, super slide, and pedal boat rides attractions. This position is responsible for detailed preventative maintenance, daily inspection of all pools, slides, water features, water conditions and ride safety inspections. This position also will involve repairs to pedal boats, fiberglassing and painting of on-site boats and equipment. This position will also involve working in, or around water.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have excellent customer service and communication skills to respond to the changing needs of our customers and requests from other departments. Candidates should have a mechanical background and knowledge of and the ability to use hand tools. Individuals must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. A valid G2 class driver’s license is required for this position.
Marina
General Responsibilities:
Marina Attendants are responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operation of all marine facilities in the two Marinas at Ontario Place including: assisting customers with boat-related issues; ensuring all marina and adjacent areas are clean and well-maintained; ensuring the safe operation of a variety of watercraft and a 6-passenger golf cart. Marina Attendants are also responsible for cash related duties in the retail store and fuel facilities.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess excellent customer service skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Previous boating experience is required. A valid G2 class driver’s license is required for this position.
Marketing
General Responsibilities:
Working within the marketing team, the Marketing Surveyors will facilitate the completion of guest satisfaction surveys as guests are exiting the park. These positions are also responsible for greeting and engaging guests, persuading them to stay and complete surveys, opt-into database and respond to other general inquiries. Some data entry is required to document guest verbatim comments.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have excellent customer service and both written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills are required to be able to respond to variety of guest questions and concerns. Good stamina is also required to stand for long periods of time and work outdoors in all weather conditions. Individuals must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. General computer skills are also required for this position.
Medical Response
General Responsibilities:
Working as part of a Medical Response Team, applicants will be accountable for: responding to all minor and serious medical emergencies, assisting Paramedics and tracking all treatments by completing logs and incident reports. This position is responsible for the efficient operation of the first aid facility and maintaining corporate safety equipment such as water safety stations and site first aid kits. This position requires Team Members to patrol and respond efficiently to all requests in all areas of the park by foot or by driving a Gator. Excellent customer service skills are required at all times.
Retail Merchandising
General Responsibilities:
Arcade Attendants engage guests and provide them with a fun indoor experience. Arcade Attendants are responsible for monitoring inventory, re-stocking, visual merchandising, maintaining location cleanliness, reconciling cash at the end of the shift, and other related games and arcade duties. This position is also responsible for providing assistance with the receiving and pricing of stock for games at the warehouse.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have previous customer service and cash handling experience. Applicants must be able to work with minimal supervision and possess the physical stamina to perform moderate lifting (approx. 25 lbs).
General Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for facilitating the operation of an artistic product line such as: face painting, tattoos, and other products and services for sale. Other responsibilities include: reconciling the cash at the end of the shift, monitoring inventory of supplies, re-stocking, maintaining visual décor and location cleanliness, and assisting with other retail operations in shops, games or warehouse, as needed.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have artistic ability and will be asked to bring in a sample of their work to also demonstrate their creativity. Previous customer service experience and cash handling experience is required. Applicants must be able to work with minimal supervision and have the physical stamina to perform moderate lifting (25 lbs.).
General Responsibilities:
Food Service Attendants are responsible for facilitating the operation of Resale operated foods locations. This position is responsible for preparing and selling foods products to Ontario Place Guests. Attendants are also responsible for monitoring inventory, re-stocking, maintaining location cleanliness, reconciling cash at the end of the shift, and other related duties.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have previous experience in a food service environment. They must have previous customer service and cash handling experience. Applicants must be able to work with minimal supervision and possess the physical stamina to perform moderate lifting (approx. 25 lbs).
General Responsibilities:
Games Attendants are responsible for engaging guests with a positive and outgoing attitude and attracting them towards games booths. This position is responsible for balancing a float, monitoring inventory, re-stocking and maintaining cleanliness throughout our games locations.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have previous customer service experience and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
General Responsibilities:
Retail Cashiers interact with and provide guest services at the various on-site retail stores. This position is responsible for reconciling cash at the end of the shift, monitoring inventory, re-stocking, visual merchandising, maintaining store cleanliness and other related store duties, and assisting with receiving and pricing of stock, as needed.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have previous customer service and cash handling experience. Applicants must be able to work under minimal supervision, and have the physical stamina to perform moderate lifting (approx. 25 lbs).
General Responsibilities:
Ride Photo Attendants interact with and provide customer service at the on-site photo booth. They are responsible for operating the photo system, processing sales, monitoring inventory, re-stocking, maintaining location cleanliness, reconciling cash at the end of the shift, and other related duties.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have previous customer service and cash handling experience. Basic computer skills are also required. Applicants must be able to work with minimal supervision and possess the physical stamina to perform moderate lifting (approx. 25 lbs).
General Responsibilities:
The Warehouse Receiver/Cashier ensures the safe and efficient operation of the warehouse through the loading and unloading of retail merchandise. Duties include: receiving, inspecting, distributing, pricing, stocking and shipping goods to on-site stores. This position is responsible for the accurate recordkeeping of all inventory transactions and paperwork flow. Warehouse Receivers/Cashiers are also expected to assume Retail Cashier duties as required, i.e. providing guest services, reconciling cash at the end of a shift, monitoring and re-stocking inventory, visual merchandising, maintaining store cleanliness and assisting with receiving and pricing of stock as needed.

Technical Services
General Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for assisting with general duties within the Technical Services Department. This includes: the installation, routine maintenance and repair of sound, lighting, video, computer and telephone equipment used throughout the park. Additional duties include providing technical support for special events and attractions, responding to technical problems as assigned, and cabling and other installation work on a regular basis.

In this job you will:
- Conduct regular site patrols in order to protect property and maintain order;
- Provide guests with information and assistance;
- Direct visitors to and within the site; provide crowd control;
- Respond to emergencies and alarms;
- Investigate and conduct incident reports;
- Operate communications, and monitor the park through security equipment;
- Respond to calls for assistance by contacting the appropriate authority;
- Escort important delegates to the park and off property;
- Assist with traffic management;
- Issue parking and Provincial Offence notices for illegal activity on Ontario Place property:

Mandatory:
- Valid G Driver’s License;
