de Scotiabank Caribana Lime Returns to Ontario Place

TORONTO, June 22, 2010 – Ontario Place is very excited to again welcome Scotiabank Caribana to its Heritage Square
for two days of family-oriented music, dance and celebration. de Scotiabank Caribana Lime will bring Caribbean culture
to Ontario Place on August 1st and 2nd. A special new addition this year, the Grace “Tropical Rhythms” Caribbean Food
Festival, runs on August 1st.

This year’s Scotiabank Caribana festivities at Ontario Place will be even better than last year! de Scotiabank Caribana Lime
on August 1st and 2nd will highlight the various cultures of the Caribbean people, featuring song, dance, theatrical drama
and storytelling.

An exciting addition is the Grace “Tropical Rhythms” Caribbean Food Festival presented by Grace Foods and
Western Union. The goal of the event is to give visitors a taste of Caribbean culture as the Caribbean Islands come
together to “Feel De Vibe.” The Grace “Tropical Rhythms” Caribbean Food Festival will provide a dazzling array of fun
activities, entertainment and excitement for the entire family. Enjoy exotic cuisine prepared by gourmet Caribbean chefs.
Get some tear-jerkin’ Jamaican jerk chicken, relax with roti from Trinidad and Tobago and quench your thirst with Grace
coconut water. It will be an experience to remember for food lovers throughout Canada and the United States!

Official representatives from the Islands will be on hand to give information on the various travel choices throughout the
region. Guests can also pick up their official souvenir Tropical Rhythms passports and collect stamps for each taste.
If they collect all the stamps they’ll be entered into a grand prize draw.

While Ontario Place is positioned along the parade route, this is only the second time Ontario Place has hosted Scotiabank
Caribana festivities at the park. In July 2009, Scotiabank Caribana was looking for a new home for its Lime party, which
had traditionally taken place on Olympic Island. Ontario Place stepped up and offered to host the event in its newly-built
Heritage Square. Quickly plans were made and finalized and de Scotiabank Caribana Lime was an amazing success. Ontario
Place came alive with Caribbean performances and the smell of delicious food. Almost 15,000 people attended over the
two days of events.

Ontario Place is pleased to continue to build its partnership with Scotiabank Caribana. This relationship represents Ontario
Place’s mandate to support tourism in Ontario and to celebrate the diversity of the City of Toronto, as we do during our
many other Heritage Days.
